About Ignite
Big ideas, real impact.
Ignite produces rigorous, policy-relevant global health research in partnership with students and global collaborators.
-
Ignite is a hands-on research community at William & Mary where students, faculty, and partners collaborate on real-world global health challenges through the Global Research Institute and the Department of Health Sciences.
-
Our approach combines applied research, policy engagement, and methodological innovation. We work collaboratively across disciplines and with global partners, using spatial, qualitative, and quantitative analysis, program evaluation, and mixed-methods approaches to generate evidence that translates into real-world impact.
-
Ignite offers mentorship, training, and real research responsibility. Members gain hands-on experience, build analytical and communication skills, and contribute to applied research with opportunities for co-authorship and collaboration. Through this work, Ignite produces policy-relevant evidence and methodological innovations that support the broader global health community.
